Find out which course is best for you: 🥇Level 1 – EHAI Essential Food Hygiene Skills Course Designed for new food workers, including support/cleaning staff with light duties. Teaches basic food safety principles: food poisoning causes, storage, handling, cooking basics, personal hygiene, pests, cleaning, and an intro to HACCP. Duration: 3 hours including a theory test. 🥈 Level 2 – EHAI Primary Course in Food Safety. Designed for food handlers within 3+ months of employment. Topics covered: Microbiological, physical, chemical, and allergenic hazards, Cross‑contamination prevention, temperature control & storage (use‑by vs best‑before, refrigeration, freezing, stock rotation) Food preparation, cooking, cooling, reheating, and hot/cold holding Personal hygiene, protective clothing Premises design, layout, cleaning, disinfection, and pest control HACCP principles throughout delivery, storage, preparation, cooking, service Food safety legislation and enforcement Delivered over approximately 8–10 hrs (1 full day or 2 half-days), with a written exam. 🥉Level 3 – EHAI The Management of Food Safety - HACCP Compliance Course Designed for managers and supervisors in food service, retail, and manufacturing. Greater focus on: Developing and maintaining HACCP-based management systems Higher-level understanding of food safety legislation Ability to plan, supervise, and implement HACCP plans Implementing good practice and supervising staff Delivery over 3-4 days and includes a final project.
